MILA was born in the Principality of Monaco and has lived there since birth. She grew up in the laborious sewing workshops of her paternal family between MONACO, SAN REMO and MILAN where she spent hours watching the meticulous work of cutters and workers.
She made her first drawings at the age of five on Kraft paper that her father used to design his patterns. Shis favorite subject was the portrait. She found the moment thrilling when, after hours of work, with the stroke of a pencil, she managed to "catch" the expression with a look.
When she was a teenager, she wanted to be a stylist and her teachers advised her to go to the Beaux-Arts; but her very conservative family did not want her to leave the family cocoon. They therefore pushed her towards a more traditional business management course that she was able to follow without leaving her home.
Then she worked for international import-export companies which allowed her to travel a lot and meet great people. Over the years, she has always continued to be interested in Art, drawing, painting and finally learning to use modern techniques.
So rather self-taught, she had the chance to meet contemporary artists in the context of workshops in the Schools of Fine Arts in Montreal, Paris and Turin who appreciated her work and gave her valuable advice.
